Kinematic was an essay co-written with Matt Young in the now defunct Construction Lit Magazine. The reflective essay was about running in Vermont and how it reminded us of running in the Marine Corps. It was nominated for Sundress’s Best of the Net in 2019.

Splinters was named a finalist in the 2018 Jeff Sharlet Memorial Award for Veterans. Francisco was one of a small group of 17 finalists selected from 499 entries to the contest held by The Iowa Review.
